Overview

Langtang Gosaikunda Trek lies north of Kathmandu Valley as well as a Ganesh Himal Range and Langtang Lirung 7727mtrs. The Langtang Gosankunda trek offers pine forest, apple garden, mountain streams, rugged rock and snowcapped peaks, grassy downs and wild original. A variety of sights including Buddhist monasteries, a cheese factory, yaks, glaciers and mountain lakes and due to langtang national park there are many wild animals including red panda and many more. Albeit, Parvati Kunda and Gosainkunda including other eighteen Kundas make Langtang Gosainkunda trek an exciting one. This Langtang Gosainkund Trek offers the experience of being in a typical Tamang, Sherpa villages with different culture whose kindness and hospitality is well renowned and it is a golden chance to study about lifestyle of villager.

Itinerary

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Nepal Airport 1350mtrs.
Well come to Himalayas Nepal! We pick up you from Tribhuvan International Airport and drop to your hotel where you had booked. After resting some hours and we come there to brief about our programme.

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing 1350mtrs.
Half or Full day world Heritage sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley with expert tour guide or chill out days as you wish.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi 1530mtrs/ 7-8 hours.
This day we start for Langtang Gosainkung Trek drive on a northern highway from Kathmandu to Syabru bensi via Dunche Bazaar. The journey will take 7-8 hours trough Trishuli Bazaar, local villages, landscape, mountains and crops field along the way. On way to Syabru bensi we can view of Ganesh Himal Range, Manaslu, peaks of Langtang range. This first day will be in beautiful Tamang village near the Bhote Koshi River and overnight at lodge.

Day 04: Syabru bensi to Lama Hotel 2410mtrs/ 5-6hours.
Our walk start from today after breakfast, the trail ascends for around two hours through the forest followed by a climb of about an hour to reach Bamboo village 1850mtrs which is a good spot for lunch. This forest trail is nice to walk for trekkers and following the upstream and can be seen birds and wild animal around the bushes. Bee hives hanging on a cliff are another attraction for the visitors. After lunch we again climb up through the bamboo forest to reach the Lama Hotel over night at lodge.

Day 05: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village 3430mtrs/5-6hours.
The trek continue ascending to Langtang village 3430mtrs.We have a pleasant walk and follow the trail through rhododendron and pine forest for around three hours to reach Ghora Tabela where we break for lunch. The surrounding area is dense wild habitat and many small babblers with lot of herbal can be found here as well as fine view of Langtang Lirung 7727mtrs and Check point of Langtang National Park Permit. After lunch following Langtang Khola and walk another three hours on the scenic trail takes us to Langtang village overnight at lodge.

Day 06: Langtang to Kyangjin Gompa 3830mtrs/ 3-4hours.
It is our turn to trek from Langtang Village to Kyangjin Gompa 3870mtrs. It takes about three to four hours to reach there it means you will be there at lunch hours. Our trail climbs gradually through small villages and yak pastures as the valley opens further and the views become more extensive. Kyangjin Gompa is reached after crossing several small streams and moraines. Evening time we can visit the cheese factory at Kyangjin Gompa. We would enjoy the panoramic view of Dorje Larpa 6990mtrs, Langtang Ri 6370mtrs, Langtang Lirung 7245mtrs and many more, overnight at lodge.

Day 07: Explore Day in Kyangjin Gompa.
This is a day of rest as well as somewhere to hike due to last destination of this route. You can explore day hike of the local area of this region like Kyangjin Ri 4773mtrs, Cherku-ri 5150mtrs, glacier walk or Langshisha Kharka 4285mtrs depends on your fitness and interest and which lies up valley from Khyangjin. Upper valley is ringed by spectacular snow peaks including fluted peak Langtang Lirung and the Tibetan named Dorje Lakpa and over night at Kyangjin lodge.

Day 08: Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel 2410mtrs/ 5-6hours.
Day back down when we went way up and after breakfast Kyangjin Gompa 3830mtrs to Lama Hotel. We have an easy downhill and following Langtang Khola, pleasant walk through the rhododendron forest to Ghora Tabela. After lunch trek down to the Lama Hotel 2410mtrs overnight at lodge.

Day 09: Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru 2210mtrs/ 5-6hours.
After breakfast our trail leads again through bamboo & rhododendron forest where we can see the local wild boar, monkey and other animal and birds on the route to Thulo Syabru only for lucky trekkers. En route we have marvelous and close-up view of Ganesh Himal. Firstly easy downhill follows the river bank but last part steeply uphill for couple of hours to get to the village at Thulo Syabru.

Day 10: Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa 333omtrs/ 4-5hours.
Dat ten, we walk around 4-5 hours through dense forest of pine and rhododendron to reach Sing Gompa (Chandan Bari) which is our overnight spot. The trail from here is mostly uphill with typically Himalayan terrain Thulo Syabru goes to Foprang Danda 3200mtrs passing through Dursagang 2660mtrs and last few hours remaining forested with open areas giving excellent views of Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, Tibetan Mountain and forests of Oak, Hemlock and Firs. When arrival in hotel refreshed and enjoy visiting local cheese factory as well as terrain forested landscape.

Day 11: Sing Gompa to Lauribinayak 3910mtrs/ 3-4hours.
The walk climbs steeply with fine mountains views then heads for is beautiful walk through oak trees and better view of mountains. We walk three to four hours today to make sure for our destination to Lauribinayak Pass 4610mtrs for altitude mountains sickness and good mountains view with sunrise from Lauribinayak. You can view Langtang Lirung 7727mtrs, Ganesh Himal Range, Paldor Peak 5903mtrs, Dhoreje Lakpa 6966mtrs, Manaslu 8163mtrs, Annapurna range in distance and panoramic view of whole area in early morning and overnight at lodge.

Day 12: Lauribinayak to Gosainkunda 4380mtrs/3-4hours.
The trail drops to Saraswoti Kunda at 4165mtrs, the first of the Gosainkunda Kunda Lakes. The second lake is Bhairav Kunda and many others around same place. According to the myth, the Gosainkunda was created by hindu god Shiva when he pierced glacier with his trident to obtain water to quench his thirst after having swallowed poison. So, the Gosainkunda is believed as holy lake and every year during August there will be Fool moon (Janae Purnima) festival over night at lodge.

Day 13: Gosainkunda to Ghopte 3530mtrs/ 5-6hours.
The trail climbs the Gosainkund Lake to the four lakes near the Lauribina La 4610mtrs. It then drops down again to Gopte. You will have charming view of Annapurna range; Manaslu, Ganesh himal, Lantang Ri, Langtang Lirung and Dhorje Lakpa then walk down to Phedi 3630mtrs for hot lunch. Walking through zigzag trail for an hour you will reach Ghopte over night at lodge.

Day 14: Ghopte to Kutumsang 2470mtrs/ 5-6hours.
The day continues ups and down through forest and walking in ridge of hill. You can have a good view of Helambu and Tadhi Valley and cross a Thadrepati Pass 3690mtrs and the trails continues via dense forest to Mangne Goth from where view of Langtang range and Gosaikund peak is dramatic and finally reaching to Kutumsang 2470mtrs over at lodge.

Day 15: Kutumsang to Chisapani 2215mtrs/ 5-6hours.
The trail is following in Helambu Region, the trek continue downhill to Gul Bhanjyang 2130mtrs as well as Pati Bhanjyang 1830mtrs crossing through ethnic group of Sherpa and Tamang  people of their culture and old villages. After the Pati Bhanjyang trail leads up to Chisapani 2215mtrs, from where awesome view of Langtang Range, Ganesh Himal Range to Annapurna Range, overnight at lodge.

Day 16: Chisapani-Sundarijal to Kathmandu 1350mtrs/ 3-4 hours.
After the breakfast trek up to Borlang Bhanjya 2430mtrs and all the down through Tamang village with dense forest, land field and Shivapuri National Park Exit area in Army Camp then down to Sundarijal. Then from here we can catch private car or local bus as your desire and back to Kathmandu own your booked hotel as well as own your expenses. Rest of time you can go to shop to buy some gift and souvenir for your family and friends.

Day 17: Kathmandu to fly back to Home.
This is a free of last day shopping souvenirs or gift to your family, friends and other relatives until you departure. We offer you short extra trip for you if you have time and if you are departing, we have transportation services to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onwards destination. “Have a Nice Flight” See you again.
