Abandonment
I am aware that travel in city or remote areas and regardless of the transportation delivery and participation particularly in adventure activities that may be planned on the trips as limited to boating, Bird Watching, Jungle Safari, trekking, hiking and animal riding where is possibility of risks of illness (including, but High Altitude Sickness, Tropical Diarrhea and fever, Malaria), injury, emotional trauma, and/or death, which may be caused by forces of nature or other agencies unknown. I be aware of such risks may be present at any time before, during and after the trip that I am involving in with EduMEdic I am also aware that adequate medical services or facilities may not be readily available or accessible during some or all of the time in which I am participating in the trip, and that evacuation, if necessary, and if available, can be prolonged, difficult and expensive.
I am also aware that in such nation and working by EduMEdic, the level of Physical structure development, sense of urgency, communication skills, attention to detail, quality standards, hygiene, political instability, cooking, sanitation facilities, cleanliness, and business practices, among other things, may be supposed far inferior to those found in most mechanized nations. More, I am aware and accept that travel to such areas involves these and other elements of risk above and beyond those that would normally be encountered in developed nations. As a participant in a group tour, I understand that due to the nature of the destinations to which EduMEdic organizes tours, and the necessity of the long lead times required to organize such tours, situations such as the following can and might be predictable to occur: changes in tour leader assignments; changes in sequence or timing of the itinerary; and/or changes in accommodations and/or transport. I understand further that due to the above stated reasons, EduMEdic cannot certification exact adherence to any itinerary or itineraries that have been provided. In consideration of, and as part payment for, the right to participate in the trip, and the activities, services, and food arranged for me by EduMEdic in connection with the trip, I have and do hereby fully assume all risk of illness, injury, property damage, emotional trauma, and death, and hereby fully and forever release EduMEdic and its agents, officers, directors, employees, successors, assigns, and associates from any and all actions, claims, or demands which might result in any way or from any cause, whether or not specifically named herein, related to my participation in the trip. I agree that the foregoing obligation is binding upon me personally, as well as upon my successor, executors and administrators, and all members of my family, including minors. I also acknowledge that I have been informed that EduMEdic is acting in an agency capacity in making travel arrangements and affirm that neither EduMEdic, nor any of its agents, officers, directors, employees, successors, assigns and associates has any responsibility or liability arising from failure on the part of any contractors, including transportation companies, retained by EduMEdic in connection with its trip to perform their contracts of carriage except for reimbursement for ground services contracted for, but not provided due to error or omission on the part of EduMEdic or any of their contractors. I understand and acknowledge that all fares of passage of travel and rates quoted have been quoted in good faith, but are subject to change at the sole discretion of D EduMEdic I agree that I shall bring any claim that I may have against EduMEdic within one year of the date the claim arose. I have carefully read this document and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this is a release of liability between EduMEdic and me, and sign it of my own free will on behalf of my heirs and myself. By signing this document, it is my intent to release, waive, and indemnify all of the Released Parties from all liability connected with my participation in the trip and to personally assume all risk of injury or death. I also acknowledge that I have carefully read the section on cancellations and refunds, and agree to all stated conditions therein.
Traveling with EduMedic and International Groups
EduMedic travels are suggested for travelers who enjoy an energetic manner of travel and for those who welcome the added aspect of worldwide group. Most of our programs are recommended in cooperation with EduMedic. On these trips you will join group with travelers of all ages from all over the world if you agree and it’s depending on the trip. On most trips, there will be a English-speaking guide will assist the team and EduMedic may offer those guides or leader as you recommendation in term of language and or dialect. The guide functions as a logistics coordinator, not a lecturer, and you will receive the pertinent information. Please discuss any concerns about traveling with an international group with our staff, prior to booking.
Payments for Late Bookings
If you book a trips 65 days or less prior to departure, the entire cost of the trip is due when you book.
Cancellation Conditions – Published Group Programs
1) You have the right to cancel a booked tour by sending EduMedic a letter by certified mail . In this event the following penalties apply:
Cancellation receipt dated up to 55 days prior to departure – Penalty: Forfeit of deposit per person.
Cancellation receipt dated 54 to 28 days prior to departure – Penalty: Forfeit of 50% of the total price.
Cancellation receipt dated 22 to 15 days prior to departure – Penalty: Forfeit of 75% of the total price.
Cancellation receipt dated 14 or less days prior to departure – Penalty: Forfeit of total fare.
Private Trips / Custom Groups
Private trips and custom groups are priced based on the number of participants. If a participant withdraws, the cost per person can increase substantially or, even worse, there may too few participants for the program to go. As the flights and plans of other participants may be put at risk, the initial payment is non-refundable to cover any penalties and to help reduce or avoid added expenses for the other participants, in the event someone cancels.
Emergencies do happen that may require a cancellation. It is highly recommended that participants take out travelers insurance that would cover an illness, family or job emergency that would prevent you from going. Travel insurance should be purchased within a week after booking to make sure you are covered for any pre-existing situation.
Payment Schedule Private Group
1) Deposit due upon booking: 20% of trip due upon receipt of invoice.
2) In addition, payment for any internal flights must be made, upon receipt of invoice, if applicable.
3) 60 days prior to trip, balance is due
Cancellation Conditions – Private or Custom Group
You have the right to cancel your tour by sending EduMedic a letter by certified mail. In this event the following penalties apply:
• Cancellation receipt dated up to 55 or more days prior to departure – Penalty: Forfeit of deposit and (if applicable) payment for any internal flights, or applicable cancellation fees for said flights.
• Cancellation receipt dated 50-41 days prior to departure – Penalty: Forfeit of 50% of the total price plus costs for purchased internal flights, or applicable cancellation fees for said flights.
• Cancellation receipt dated 39-35 or less days prior to departure – Penalty: Forfeit of 75% of trip cost plus cost of internal flights, or applicable cancellation fees for said flights.
• Cancellation receipt dated 26 or less days prior to departure – Penalty: Forfeit of total fare plus cost of internal flights.
Cancellation
EduMedic has the right to cancel a trip 26 days prior to departure. This would occur, for instance, if on a group trip, we have not enough trip Travel membership. In this event, we would discuss an alternative with you or give you a full compensation of the land package fare. Other incidents may be political crisis or natural disaster (Gorkha Earthquake 2015 in Nepal) that prevents travel in the area. EduMedic will not be responsible for any loss resulting from cancellation or changes in international gateways or travel dates, penalties for canceled international or domestic add-on flights (if you have arranged this flight or should you miss your flight). Therefore, we suggest you avoid booking tickets that bear high cancellation penalty charges. In most cases, cancellation insurance covers these costs. However, we urge you to check your policy. Participants can change their selected tour to another tour in our brochure eight weeks prior to departure. In this event, the cost of the trip will be adjusted according to the cost of the new trip, plus $45 an administration additional cost will be charged for each individual in your party who has changed a reservation. The new trip must be booked within one year of the original scheduled departure date in order to transfer your initial payments or payments are forfeited. Rebooking cannot be carried over a second time and there will be no cash refunds. Trips that fall on dates in the following calendar year may be subject to price increases that pertain to applicable fuel charges.
