The reserve has been recognizing as a wetland site from 1987 was established mainly to preserve habitat for the remaining population of wild water buffalo known as “Arna” in Nepal. Aqua Birds are also another significance here.

Outline Itinerary

Day 1: Receiving you at the airport to respected Hotel

On arrival at the airport in Kathmandu with warm welcome and then transfer to respective hotels in the heart of the city around or near interesting and happening area of Thamel by officers of Nepal Edumedic Travel and Trekking Company Pvt. Ltd.. And could have more information about in Nepal.  Welcome dinner in typical Nepalese restaurants.

Day 2: Full Day Sites seeing of Historical Heritage and Religious Sites

Full day site seeing in Kathmandu, Pashupati Nath – Temple of Hindus, Swayambhu, are major religious sites. .

Tours may run to holy sites a short drive to Bouddhanath Stupa, also called as ‘Little Tibet’ as this place is inhabited by Tibetans and Tibetan origin Nepalese people of Tibetan Buddhism.

A huge dome of Stupa with prayer wheels that circles the wall, a fascinating Stupa with all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha believed to be more than 600 years old or more, the entire area with markets of Tibetan and Chinese goods and nice restaurants, shops and many monasteries.

Afternoon tour continues towards the historical monument of old Swayambhunath stupa of more than 2,500 old history with super views of Kathmandu valley, it is also commonly named as Monkey Temple due to mass population of monkeys that reside around the forest within Swayambhunath Stupa, an old heritage sites and the landmark of Kathmandu valley where the four cardinal eyes of Lord Buddha watches the valley.

The  we will visit in old Kathmandu Durbar Square in the heart of the city our guide will take you on a short tour visiting the gems of Kathmandu city the Durbar Marg (old Kings Palace) with uncountable monuments in the Kathmandu Durbar Square.

The house of the Living Goddess (Kumari Ghar), the ferocious Kal Bhairab, the red monkey god, and hundreds of erotic carvings are a few examples of the sights at the Square! The buildings here are the greatest achievements of the Malla dynasty. After s wonderful day retire back to hotel with evening free at leisure.

Day 3: Morning Flight to Biratnagar

After breakfast a short drive to Kathmandu domestic airport for an extensive 35 minutes flight to Biratnagar, southern part of Nepal, close to Nepal / India border.  During our flight can perceive with Mountains  Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Everest, Gaurishankar, Jugal – Langtang and Ganesh Himal all the way till it lands at Biratnagar airport and having drinks and snacks drive to Kosi Tappu, the drive leads North and then west from the town of Inarwa reaching at Kosi Tappu Wild Life Reserve Park. The arrange accommodation with basic information by locals about nature, wildlife’s, birds Sanctuary. Then we will have lunch a short introductory walk to see the some Storks, Ibises, Snipes, Waterfowl and other birds of prey with flock of many birds.

Day 4: Full Day natural feeling and Brod Watching activates

First day as exciting day of excursion on boat and four wheel drive with pack lunch to see Waders, waterfowls, birds of prey, March Crocodile, Otters, Wild Water Buffalo (WWB) and fresh water Gangetic dolphins which is a very rare sight, including a visit to a tower to observe more birds and wild life, the camp will set the program accordingly to make your stay enjoyable and memorable with other optional activities such as elephant safari with boating on this great Sapta Kosi River which is a meeting of seven great Himalayan Rivers and the ending point for Rafting Sun Kosi River also, this river with more than 60 species of fishes, this makes the habitation of water bird life more in winter time one can observe different species of water birds from ducks, porchards, Storks, Cormorants, Ibis to fishing and Eerpent Eagles including river Gulls and Swallows. Also can have other surrounding and community excursion and will have organic foods dinner.

Day 5: Full Day exploring Birds Watching in Iceland of Koshi Tappu

Time and session may shows to visit other places for watching more birds, nature and diversity. Depending upon the season the sunrise and sunset from Kosi Tappu is attractive, and early bird calls morning lively. There will be another excursion on the opposite of Koshi river, Island and Chatara where high chance to see racquet-tailed drongo, golden backed woodpeckers, pied hornbills, leaf-birds, red-thigh falcons and so on. Chatara is also known as the place of  lord Vishnu. At Chatara which is an interesting place with various Nepal’s ethnic people of low lands, mid hills and mountain tribes who comes here to visit the temple and as well for the market shopping and bartering. Day 6: Breakfast and Transfer to get flight for Kathmandu

After breakfast and observing more bird life, depart from the camp / lodge for few hours’ drive to the city of Biratnagar, a southern part of Nepal. And we can have some visiting as having time.

Day 7:  Phulchoki Tours

Phulchowki is located almost 15 km in the south of Kathmandu Valley. It is also a nicer for hiking. Rhododendron, as national flowers of different varieties and colors from pure white to dark red are found here. This is also the most popular bird watching spot in the valley. 265 species of birds are recorded here till date. The birds are Flowerpeckers, Flycatchers, Yuhinas, Sunbirds, Rosefinches, Babbkers, Warblers, Tits, Thrushes, Minivets, Woodpeckers, Eagles and many migrant birds have the habitat here. Then we can have visit in Godavari, at the foot of Phulchowki. Godawari is Botanical garden place. Whereas recording over 100 species of birds including lesser Racket tailed Drongo, Tibetan Siskin and the spotted Forktail.

Day 8: Departure to your Destination

Morning free for last hour shopping souvenirs and other genuine handicrafts, as Kathmandu streets is full of stores for shopping spree and delights, as per the international flight time our officers will transfer you back to Kathmandu Tribhuvan International airport for the flight back home.
