Chitwan National Park

Overview

Another major UNESCO World Heritage site, which is best and famous Chitwan National Part is situated within the inner subtropical Terai (lowlands) of Southern part of Nepal. The park is selected as a World Heritage Site in 1984 AD.

Asia’s best and most popular National Park, the Park is popular for “Royal Bengal Tiger” territory about 200 One Horned Indian Rhinoceros, many species of Bears, Deer, Leopards, Monkeys, and numerous species of mammals and reptiles, and it is also a home of thousand species of birds.

Natural programs with Jungle Safari :

Mainly Elephant Safari / riding, in the forest, Jungle & Nature tours for watching different species of Birds. Likewise, Dugout Canoe helps to observe aquatic and birds life along with two species of crocodiles, the Marsh Mugger and Gangetic Gharial and so on. Itinerary

Outline Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu – Chitwan National Park (L/ D)

Your tour may start in early morning to catch the Coach Bus / or Car for heading Chitwan Kantipath / or Naya Bazar at 7:00 AM. Almost 225 km from Kathmandu and takes about 6 hours by Bus / Car. Or there is flight from Kathmandu to Bharatpur and takes about 45 munites by Car. May you perceive such natural beauty and wonderful landscape from cool climate to subtropical weather in  flood plains and grasslands. You are welcome from the bus station to the  Hotel. Such brief orientation session offers you for details programs along with having Lunch.

May you observe the nature, localities and you have a ride on a bullock cart, the local form of transport, or local vehicle to visit a nearby tribal village and museum devoted to History and culture of the indigenous Tharu community. You are lucky to observe Tharu Cultural show by local team or you can follow such birds in the bank of Rapti River.

Overnight: Hotel, Chitwan National Park

Day 2:  National Park (B, L, D)

You may feel free and spend your morning time near community or anywhere. After having breakfast, Jeep safari to the Chitwan wetlands and in the jungle. you might spot One Horned Indian Rhinoceros, many species of Bears, Deer, Leopards, Monkeys, and numerous species of mammals and reptiles, and it is also a home of thousand species of birds. Birds watching programs may arrange in the evening after returning from Safari. Such slides may make more knowledgeable to you at hotel.   Enjoy dinner at your hotel and getting rest

Day 3: Chitwan National Park (B, L, D)

You may get the sound from knocking door in the morning for breakfast. Then you may arrange to  the Budhi Rapti River by dugout canoe to catch sights of sunbathing crocodiles and the park’s large amount of birds and you may enjoy more bird-watching, take a guided nature walk with an expert to spot Chitwan’s varied birdlife.

Large species of birds can be seen in Chitwan  National Park area. Almost 543 species of birds that include critically endangered Bengal florican, the vulnerable lesser adjutant, Grey-crowned Prinia, swamp francolin and several species of grass warblers etc can be seen in the national park and buffer zone.  Also many  migrant and vagrant birds like the greater spotted eagle, eastern imperial eagle and Pallas’s fish-eagle etc. are seen in Chitwan throughout the year.

May you drive to Bis Hazari Taal (Twenty Thousand Lakes) wetland for the bird watching experience. There are other possibilities for watching Birds and some cultural experience in Monaha farm lands.  Finally Back to Hotel.
